Anthems for the Month of Love – Acoustic Valentine Compilation Album

[ By Kram Kamal ]

The new Acoustic Valentine compilation album has dutifully gathered the biggest pop hits from Jason Mraz’s I’m Yours to Ed Sheeran’s enticing The A Team, accompanied by dainty classics such as What A Wonderful World and Better Man to name a few. Many renowned artists of contemporary pop music are featured on this 2-disc album, filled with a plethora of infectious resonance and romantic songs ready for Valentine’ Day.

Disc 1 starts off with big hits such as Coldplay’s amorous True Love, Sheeran’s whimsical The A Team, Bruno Mars’ power-ballad When I Was Your Man and Michael Bublé’s soulful Home. Other  not to missed out include Grammy nominated Hunter Hayes singing an acoustic version of Invisible, the 2009 world smash hit Bad Day by Daniel Powter, and Waters of March by Anya Marina.

The fused rush of romance, dance and sing-a-long bops continues in Disc 2 with UK-based singer Lily Allen’s cover of Keane’s Somewhere Only We Know, a personal favourite which kicks off the disc and progresses to pulchritudinous anthems such as A Thousand Years, Skinny Love and I Will Follow You into the Dark. While the album holds many hits, there are some songs that may be new to the listeners, such as Mr. Big’s To Be with You and The Power of Love.

Since February is the month of love, Acoustic Valentine would be the perfect soundtrack for a perfect day spent with your loved one to play in the car, while cooking an intimate dinner for two, or even dancing and singing along to.
