Style from the Hallways

[By Grace Loh]

There is an eclectic mix of fashion among the student community at Taylor’s University. Here we hunt down some of the aspiring fashionistas that caught our camera lens.

Hann wears an ASOS denim jacket, Cotton On cuffed chinos, shirt from a Thai flea market and Timberland boat shoes.

“I don’t restrict myself to one style. It varies all the time. Some days I dress more preppy, other days more relevant.”

Su Ann wears a Bershka sweater, Forever 21 necklace and black jeggings while sporting an H&M duffel bag.

“I usually plan my outfits for the start of the week on Sunday nights.”

Begaiym wears a Zara blazer, Mango draped top, Charles and Keith bag, Swatch watch and Clark shoes.

“I’m a big fan of jeans, ripped, boyfriend, dark, light, you name it! Also I never throw away any of my jeans. When they become old, I will turn them into ripped jeans and if they really wear out, I turn them into shorts.”

Ika wears a Cotton On denim shirt, H&M crop top, Forever 21 skirt and Vagabond shoes.

“I always have shades on my head. It’s my trademark look.”

Myra wears a Mango crop top, H&M plaid shirt, leggings and bag, and Topshop boots.

“Some days I feel like I should be a girl so I would break out my kimonos. I have a number of them but I never buy them. Usually I select the material and my aunt custom makes them.”

Olivia wears a Zara turtleneck crop top, Mango denim shorts and shades from a flea market in Bali.

“I like to take something from my travels and incorporate it into my outfit because I know it’s going to be one-of-a-kind and no one could copy that.”
